The 2019 Queensland Literary Awards are now open for nomination.

The 2019 Queensland Literary Awards Guidelines contain all the details on how to enter and the Terms and Conditions of Entry.

Published book awards

Nominations close 31 May, 5pm  

Complete your nomination in April to save $10 with the Early Bird discount

To enter a published book

  1. Download and read the 2019 Queensland Literary Awards Guidelines, which include the Terms and Conditions of Entry
  2. Check the book and author meet the general eligibility criteria and the category-specific eligibility criteria, and was first published between 1 June 2018 and 31 May 2019.
  3. Complete the online nomination form.
  4. Submit your completed form and pay the $50 nomination fee, if required (save $10 if you nominate in April)
  5. Post, courier or hand-deliver five copies of the nominated book, per category, to the State Library of Queensland.

Unpublished manuscript and development awards 

Nominations close 30 June, 5pm

To enter an unpublished manuscript or submit an application for a development award

  1. Download and read the 2019 Queensland Literary Award Guidelines, which include the Terms and Conditions of Entry. 
  2. Check that you meet the general eligibility criteria and the category-specific eligibility criteria.
  3. Complete the online nomination form and upload your manuscript or application and support material.
  4. Alternatively, you can post or hand-deliver five copies of your printed manuscript or application to the State Library of Queensland.
