Online Hobbies: Games for fun and learning
Join us to explore the Be Connected Games Centre, which hosts games of increasing difficulty to test the mind and the mouse and keyboard skills. Once you have mastered those, we will also have some tips on some great destinations for online games to keep your online experience entertaining and engaging.
Be Connected gives older adults an opportunity to participate in fun, free learning sessions that will increasing their confidence, skills, and knowledge to get online using everyday technology such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and computers.
There is a broad range of topics on offer from learning the absolute basics, getting to know your devices and how to get started online, to connecting with family, online hobbies such as researching your family history and most importantly, how to stay safe online.
State Library of Queensland is part of the Be Connected network and will deliver Be Connected learning session’s onsite Wednesdays and Fridays from 10.00am till 12.30pm, morning tea will be included. Each month we will focus on different learning topics (listed below) and you can book into as many sessions as you like.
