Artists in gallery

Spend an afternoon surrounded by the artists behind the Brisbane Portrait Prize Finalists Exhibition.

For this special in-gallery event, finalist artists will be present throughout the exhibition, offering visitors the chance to connect directly with the people behind the portraits. Wearing artist stickers, participants may be found beside their artworks or exploring the gallery, creating opportunities for spontaneous conversation, questions and insight.

This relaxed and informal experience invites audiences to engage more deeply with the exhibition, hear firsthand stories behind the works, and experience the gallery as a living creative space shaped by artists, sitters and community.
