Find collection delivery times for items held at State Library. Delivery times vary depending on where your item is stored and how you choose to access it. Check the information below to help plan your visit or request delivery to your local public library.
Requests can be made in One Search, our library catalogue using your State Library membership.
South Bank lending collections (in storage)
Requests for items in storage are delivered hourly and placed on the hold shelf for 5 days.

South Bank lending collections (open access)
Collections shelved in the level 2 and 3 reading rooms are available for browsing and borrowing. Requests for items on open access are delivered once daily and placed on the hold shelf for 5 days.

John Oxley Library Collection
To ensure your item is available to access, we recommend you request your item/s one day prior to your visit.
Requests for items in storage are delivered in accordance with the delivery times below, and are placed on the hold shelf for 5 days.
Please note: Material held in restricted access collections are only available for viewing on weekdays.

Offsite storage
Requests for newspapers held offsite are delivered weekly to the John Oxley Library. Please contact us to submit your request.
