What we can do
- Assist you with identifying and searching resources for your topic.
- Refer you to other resources or organisations to find what you need.
If we cannot answer your question on the spot, we can:
Research your topic for up to one hour free of charge (with a maximum of 6 enquiries per calendar year per client). We will provide a response within 10 working days.
The information services provided by the State Library of Queensland are governed by Principles and Service Guidelines for Information and Research Services which have been agreed to by National and State Libraries Australasia (NSLA).

Information desks are located on levels 1, 2, 3, and 4 and staff are available to help with information about State Library services, resources and collections
