Tania Crampton-Larking, 2019 black&write! Fellow

The 2019 black&write! Fellows are Tania Crampton-Larking and Lisa Fuller. Congratulations!

Tania Crampton-Larking

Tania is an Adelaide based writer who identifies as part of the Port Lincoln Aboriginal Community.

She has been drawn to writing since her teenage years.

Tania was chosen for her children’s manuscript, Brightest Wild, a beautiful and heart-warming story about Alex, a young girl who moves from Scotland to Australia and finds a special love for the wild bush that surrounds her.

Lisa Fuller

Lisa is a Wuilli Wuilli woman, also descended from Wakka Wakka and Gooreng Gooreng and was chosen for her manuscript, Washpool.

Lisa has always loved writing and storytelling, and her passion was obvious in the refreshing and exciting story about two young Aboriginal sisters, Cienna and Bella, as they find themselves in another world.

They must work with new-found friends to save this magical land from danger and find a way home.

black&write! is very excited to be working with these talented writers, and adding to the growing canon of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander literature.
