Access eresourceSearchable, full-text digitized versions of key 19th Century British newspapers. With more than 240 newspaper titles, the series is comprised of approximately 6.4 million pages of historic content, and covers national, regional, and local news. It includes articles, advertisements, illustrations, and letters from different periods and perspectives. State Library's subscription includes Part I-VII.
Part I: 1800-1900
Includes the Illustrated Police News, Chartist Northern Star, Morning Chronicle, the Graphic, the Examiner, and other newspapers.
Part II: 1800-1900
Includes the Standard and The Morning Post, as well as newspapers of significant towns and regions like Nottingham, Bradford, Leicester, Sheffield, York, and North Wales.
Part III: 1741-1950
Includes regional and local news publications like the Leeds Intelligencer, Hull Daily Mail, Northampton Mercury, Poor Law Unions' Gazette and Westmoreland Gazette.
Part IV: 1732-1950
Includes the Stamford Mercury and the Scots Magazine, as well as news content from Aberdeen, Bath, Chester, Derby, Belfast, Liverpool, and York.
Part V: 1746-1950
Includes the Coventry Herald, and northern regional newspapers of Scotland and the Midlands.
Part VI: Ireland, 1783-1950
Includes national publications from cities such as Dublin, Cork and Galway, as well as more rural towns like Waterford, Tuam, Ballinasloe, and Birr.
Part VII: Southeast Asia, 1806–1977
Includes newspapers and periodicals published in present-day Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand over a period of more than 170 years. These extends from the early 1800s to the late 1970s.
