10 minutes a day makes a difference.
State Library of Queensland launched
Dads Read
as part of the National Year of Reading 2012.
Dads Read
aims to raise awareness of the importance and benefits of fathers and families reading with their children, particularly in their early developmental years. Participating Queensland Public Libraries run free, fun,
Dads Read
storytime events and activities to encourage dads to get reading with their children.
Reading with your children not only helps them to develop a love of reading, but also strengthens their literacy skills, models positive reading behaviour and builds children’s self-esteem around reading which is a fundamental life skill.
