Collections for all Queensland public libraries
Known as the statewide collection, library resource in both print and electronic format are available to all public library members and Indigenous Knowledge Centres (IKC) members in Queensland. Ask your local library about these collections and they can request physical collections on your behalf, and guide you in your use of eresources available from your local library's website or catalogue.
Physical library collections
Resources for improving literacy and learning English as a second language including IELTS practice material, beginner readers for adult and English as a second language (ESL) learners, picture dictionaries and English for the workplace materials.
A wide selection of narrated books for children and adults featuring the most popular titles and authors. The collection contains a variety of genres including Australiana, romance, mystery, thriller and comedy available in CD, MP3, and playaway formats.
A curated collection of titles for book clubs designed to encourage engaging and in-depth discussions. Titles feature thought-provoking situations, complex plots or characters, inspiring storylines and insightful social commentary. Re-tellings and tie-ins to movies or TV series provide additional avenues for exploration.

An extensive collection containing more than 79,000 items in over 50 languages. Formats available include board books, picture books, junior/young adult/ adult fiction, junior and adult non-fiction, DVDs and parallel texts. A mix of popular and native authors are available for each individual language.
Manga is a type of graphic novel which originated in Japan and is often linked to an anime series. The collection contains a variety of popular junior and young adult series in a genre for every reader.
The Reserve Collection contains last copy or out-of-print titles in a range of formats including adult fiction, junior fiction, large print and adult and junior non-fiction. Full of hidden gems and hard to find titles, the collection focuses on Australiana, classics, First Nation authors, and last copy titles that form part of a series.
The Series in a Box collection contains a wide variety of popular book and television series able to be borrowed as a complete set. Sets are available in book, audiobook and DVD formats and cater for children to adults.

The storytelling kits collection includes a variety of sets containing a selection of picture books on a particular theme, accompanied by activity-based resources such as puppets, soft toys, big books, interactive felt stories and games. Designed to support First 5 Forever and engage children with language and literacy.
The Dyslexia Collection contains a comprehensive range of dyslexic friendly resources tailored to assist individuals with dyslexia, as well as parents and caregivers of those navigating the challenges of dyslexia. Resources include decodable readers, catch-up readers, Hi-Lo books, popular fiction in dyslexic friendly format and support materials with information and strategies for living and succeeding with Dyslexia.
Eresources for all Queensland public libraries
Statewide eresources are available for all Queensland public library members. Each of the following eresources will be available from your local library's website or catalogue, and can be accessed with your local library membership.
AMES is on-demand English language courses focusing on living, studying, and working in Australia for students and new migrants from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (CALD). Two modules are available:
- Worldwide English
- Living in Australia.
These are general english online courses ranging from beginner to intermediate with a focus on work, life, and study.
Ancestry Library edition provides extensive access to records and information for family history and genealogy research. Search census and vital records, immigration and military records, family histories, historical maps and more.
NOTE: Access is on-site only at your local public library or IKC.
AustLit is a non-profit collaboration between several Australian universities and the National Library of Australia. It is a primary resource of Australian literature, storytelling, theatre, film and television, with biographical information, full text content, exhibitions and rich online experiences.

LOTE4Kids allows children to enjoy the magic of books in community languages, both in the library and at home. Each title comes with an English language translation to assist in story time adaptation for multilingual reading and listening skills.
A curated collection of videos from leading parenting and educational experts offering advice on pregnancy, baby, and the toddler/preschool years. Topics covered include preparing for birth, post birth experiences, maternal wellbeing, baby and toddler development and parenting tips for common parenthood concerns.
The Queensland cloudLibrary Language Collection is a collection of ebooks and eaudiobooks in Languages Other Than English (LOTE) on a digital platform. The platform hosts content in over 25+ languages for both adult and junior readers.
