The Corner at Home Activities: Action adventure challenge

31 July 2020 | State Library of Queensland

Action Adventure Activity

Hello and welcome to The Corner at Home Activities. Today’s activity is inspired by action! Young children need a variety of movement to help build agility and creative play is a natural inspiration.

Kids - big and little, process complex information when we are engaged in play and having fun, so let’s put on our best imaginative, playful hats together.

Let’s get started!  Today, join Tim on an action-packed adventure challenge, to encourage movement and creative play for the little people in your home. We will  encourage children  to discover a variety of movements like skipping, hopping and galloping to  mix up their energy levels.

Encourage movement and play in your own home.

What materials and equipment you will need?

Use  materials and objects found in your home environment:

  • A comfy space in your home or backyard
  • dress-up clothing or materials
  • chalk.
