Access great stories and e-resources at home
9 August 2021 | State Library of Queensland
Many families are spending more time at home but this doesn’t mean you can’t still access great stories and e-resources for your child.
If your little one is itching to read new books you can check out the e-resources that all libraries have available for borrowing on their website or via an app.

Explore great picture books and expand your child’s horizon while staying safe at home.
Visit the First 5 Forever website today and watch your favourite sessions being delivered online, or download the Stories for Little Queenslanders, a series of 12 children’s picture books featuring Queensland locations and authors and illustrators that have local connections. You can even view the stories being read as there’s a video for each one. You can follow First 5 Forever on Facebook, or subscribe to our newsletter so you don’t miss new content going up online.
Most libraries will also have access to Storybox, a website where children can view stories by local authors and illustrators being read by Australian and New Zealand storytellers. This year Storybox will also be reading nominated picture books from the Children’s Book Council of Australia Awards shortlist.
