The Corner at Home: Backyard Science Expedition
Backyard Science Activity
Hello and welcome to The Corner at Home Activities. Today’s activity is inspired by National Science Week! Young children are born with a playful curiosity about their environment and the natural world around them. This natural urge to play turns into vital knowledge about how to live and survive.
Kids - big and little, process complex information when we are engaged in play and having fun, so let’s put on our best imaginative, playful hats together.
Let’s get started! Today, join Walter on a backyard science expedition at The State Library of Queensland and discover who or what we can find! Like most naturalists, botanists and zoologists, it is important to record what we see! We will encourage children to document their discoveries in this fun and friendly open-ended play activity.
Join us on a backyard science expedition.
