Be part of Watch: the exciting new First 5 Forever page
State Library of Queensland is excited to share the newest First 5 Forever page: Watch.
This page provides families with the opportunity to access great early literacy experiences during COVID-19 by sharing digital content to the new First 5 Forever Watch option at the top of the landing page.
Watch is a one stop shop for families to find all the new virtual sessions and activity ideas they can share and engage in at home. First 5 Forever video sessions currently include a variety of Baby Play; Rhyme Time and Story Time programs. Plus more are being added each week as they become available through the Facebook page, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Watch is also a great opportunity to showcase and share the wonderful content being developed across Queensland through public libraries and Indigenous Knowledge Centres, so please contact the team if you would like to contribute your own video files of local library sessions to the page. The more voices we can include talking, singing, reading, and playing, the better for Queensland families to share in the benefits of First 5 Forever.
Coming soon, there will also be additional links to further resources to make the time families spend at home language rich, rewarding, and fun. Please contact us if there are topics you’d like to see included in future Watch content.
For more tips and information on early literacy encourage families to subscribe to the First 5 Forever newsletter. We look forward to working together to develop the best early literacy digital resources for children and families. We encourage you to visit and share Watch with your audience.
