State Library provides access to an extensive range of databases through One Search, the library catalogue. To find a database search by the database title or search for a subject and refine your results by the resource type facet.

Art and architecture

Art and art sales, fashion, architecture and design including Art Design and Architecture Collection, Australian Art Auction Records, Carter's Price Guide to Antiques , Oxford Art Online and the OzBiogs.

Business and economics

Accounting and taxation, company information and analysis, market and industry reports and articles from business journals. Including ABI/INFORM Complete, Australian B2B, IBISWorld, Kompass and Hoover's Company Profiles.

Family history

Newspapers, historical records and biographical information. They Include Ancestry and Findmypast (both only at State Library), British Library Newspapers, Times Digital Archive and Irish Newspaper Archive.

Health

General and specialised medical information. Includes Health and Wellness Resource Centre, ProQuest Central, PubMed and JSTOR.

Humanities

Databases that cover both general and specialised resources in arts, education, philosophy, dance, literature and culture include Australian Public Affairs - Full Text (APA-FT), Gale Virtual Reference Library, JSTOR, Oxford Reference and ProQuest Central

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians

Resources of interest to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples or to researchers in this area include Australian Public Affairs - Full Text (APA-FT), NATSIVAD --_Biographies of Indigenous Artists.

Language and literature

Poetry and major Australian literature resources include AustLit, Columbia Granger's World of Poetry, Literature Resources Center, Macquarie Dictionary and Tumblebooks.

Law

General and specialised law information including legal encyclopaedias, case law, law reports, family and environmental law eg., Australasian Legal Information Institute AustLii, LexisNexis, Practical Guidance - Business and Queensland Legislation.

Multi-subject

Databases covering multiple subjects and including Australian Public Affairs - Full Text (APA-FT), Encyclopedia Britannica, JSTOROxford Reference and ProQuest Central.   A great place to start for school assignments.

Music

General and specialist encyclopedias, sound recordings and music scores including JSTOR, Music Online, Naxos Music Library and Oxford Music Online.

News

News from Queensland and around the world both current and historical. Includes Australian and New Zealand Newsstream, British Library Newspapers, Press Reader and Trove digitised Australian newspapers.

Reference

Encyclopedias, general online reference sources and statistics include Encyclopedia Britannica, Gale Virtual Reference Library, Oxford Dictionary of National Biography,  Oxford Reference and Who's Who in Australia.

Science and technology

Resources include Access Science, JSTOR , Lynda.com, ProQuest Central and ProQuest Science.
