COVID-19 update: State Library is gradually reopening. Before you visit, please read what spaces are open.
Power up with rubber bands with State Library this National Science Week!
Rubber bands are safe and cheap. They store energy like a battery and are reusable for so many things.
Find out how by twisting, stretching, turning and even heating them – make things move at home.
A tabletop turtle that crawls along, a rubber powered racer and amazing flying things will make you a beginner engineer in minutes, and after you learn these basics, you’ll never throw a rubber band in the bin again.
