Teacher Professional Development Session: The Great & Grand Rumpus
Join State Library staff for a Professional Development day to explore the The Great & Grand Rumpus, a community engagement project led by State Library.
The focus of this project has been on empowering the creative expression of children and exploring how that creative expression informs the creative process of adults.
The day will include a Curator's Tour of The Great and Grand Rumpus. This will be followed by a hands on workshop for teachers, learning how to approach construction and collaborative methods to engage with students to build large scale sculptural works out of cardboard. The day will also showcase State Library’s Curriculum Connect and our current offering for schools.
This session is recommended for: Queensland Primary and Secondary educators with a specific interest in Visual Art, Visual Arts in Practice of the Arts.

*Please note that participants will need to provide their own morning tea and lunch or may wish to purchase this onsite at one of the Cultural Precinct cafe's.
