To coincide with the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the re-release of Stasiland, join us to hear from the 2012 Miles Franklin Literary Award recipient Anna Funder.

Stasiland won the 2004 Samuel Johnson Prize and has been published in 25 countries and 20 languages. This now classic work is a definitive account of tyranny and resistance in the former East Germany.

"Stasiland demonstrates that great, original reporting is still possible… A heartbreaking, beautifully written book. A classic for sure." Claire Tomalin, The Guardian (UK)

BOOK SALES

The Library Shop will have Stasiland available for purchase at the event, and you are invited to meet Anna post-event to have your book signed.
