Remembrance Day workshop for schools (Year 4 to 9)

Join State Library of Queensland as we uncover the stories of Queenslanders who played pivotal roles in World War I. Using primary sources from our collection—including uniforms, diaries, letters, photographs, and military equipment—students will gain a deeper understanding of the personal experiences behind the history.

We'll also highlight photographs and newspaper articles from the historic day of 11 November 1918, when Queenslanders celebrated the end of 'The Great War.' This workshop offers meaningful context to help students appreciate the significance of observing one minute's silence at 11am on Remembrance Day.

Register now and bring history to life for your students!
