COVID-19 update: State Library is gradually reopening and more spaces are now available. Check what’s open before you visit.
Precious Plastics is an international movement providing blueprints to open source machines, tools and infrastructure to fight plastic pollution from the bottom up – and it's free!
If you have any single-use plastic lying around, bring it in every second Saturday of the month to reuse plastics using our DIY, community-created plastic shredder. We are also working on building the tools to help create and complete our suite of publicly accessible machines.
We have the tools and software you need to start making moulds and dies – all that is missing is your innovative energy.
Come along to the Fabrication Lab for the meetup on Saturday 9 November, between 1– 3pm and be part of the movement.
It's FREE, no bookings required.
After a productive year of meeting, imagining and making, the Precious Plastics project will be pausing for breath after our November meet-up, and there will be no meeting in December,.
You will find our plans for 2020 on this page in the new year.
