Capture a design from an image and turn it into something beautiful using clever software and a CNC routeing machine. This workshop includes an induction that gives you access to our CNC technology.
Part of what makes for unique Queensland architecture is the individual decorative fretwork seen in many traditional Queensland wooden houses. State Library has made a vast store of historical images available online as part of the Home Exhibition and in this workshop you will learn how to reproduce an example of this Queensland style by combining clever software tools and modern advanced manufacturing techniques. Choose a design from our selection, or bring along your own digital image, and take home a scale model example.
