How to haiku
Recommended ages 8 – 12
Join author Dannika Patterson for an adventure into the art of haiku poetry.
Using Dannika's book SeaSpray17: Ocean Photography and Haiku Poetry as a point of reference, you'll be inspired to create your own haiku in this highly interactive workshop. Using a mix of photographs, sensory prompts and collected stimuli from nature, you'll tune into your senses to practise the art of haiku: capturing a moment in time in poetic form.
Presented in collaboration with Queensland Writers Centre, as part of Brisbane Children’s Writers Festival 2023.
