Are you interested in using the resources or equipment in the Fabrication Lab? Come and do the general induction.
This is a new induction that all members will complete before accessing the tools or resources. During this 30-minute session participants will receive a guided tour of the space, a basic safety and hand-tools induction and learn how the space operates.
These inductions are free and run most Thursday nights and Saturday mornings throughout the year.
If you have booked any of the equipment in the last 6 month you may be exempt from completing this induction. Read more to find out more about an exemption.
- Participants must be over 16 years of age
- Enclosed, flat footwear must be worn at all times
- Please become a State Library member before you arrive. If you already have a SLQ member account make sure you know your login details, you may be required to login during the workshop to access SLQ computers and to make bookings for equipment.

Trial of free tickets for Pension and Health Care Card Holders. Free tickets are available for holders of Pension or Health Care Cards. Please be aware that you will have to show your card when you turn up for the session, if the card cannot be produced you will have to pay the amount of the general admission costs.
