Tracing female ancestors can be a challenging process for all family historians. In many pre 20th century historical records women can only be found via their first name or married name, or by their husband’s first initial. This is because it was mainly men who owned land, ran businesses, and voted.
As the next in a series of free 30-minute webinars, this session will:
- provide you with tips on how to locate your female relatives,
- discuss some of the resources you can use and what State Library holds, and
- demonstrate how to use some of these resources to find more information.
Places are limited so bookings are essential.
