COVID-19 update: State Library is gradually reopening. Before you visit, please read what spaces are open.
Welcome to State Library's The Edge Online Workshops! We have re-developed some of our popular workshops as online deliveries. Most of these workshops will just require yourself, a computer with stable internet connection, Zoom and a willingness to get creative with us.
Ever wondered what an Arduino actually does?
You might have heard about it, seen one, watched as the things connected to it blink and flash and move like magic. This is your chance to get in on that action. We’ll send you the parts and provide the facilitation. You and a Zoom room of fellow travellers will create the Desktop Oddity; an introduction to Arduino that requires no previous experience or understanding. It won’t get much easier that this to learn the basics of this platform. All you will need is a stable internet connection and a couple of hours.
Your kit will be posted prior to the workshop and we will follow up to ensure you receive it in plenty of time beforehand.
The workshop will run via Zoom on Tuesday evening starting at 6pm and run for 40 minutes, with a 20 minute break and then the next 40 minute session.
Please ensure you read through any information sent to you prior to the workshop so you are prepared with software downloads and everything required so everyone can start at the same pace.
These online workshops are for 18+ only.
