Join us in celebrating Deadly Threads, a colourful display of 190 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander shirts that tell a story of belonging, identity, celebration and sometimes loss.
The Deadly Threads celebration will be an incredible day of hands-on activities for adults and children alike, cultural dance performances, curator's tours and special guest appearances!
Come and check out the diverse display of sportswear and t-shirts that carry designs which speak to the unique experiences and stories of First Nations communities across Queensland. This wearable art showcase is testament to the resilience and deeply embedded pride that runs strong for First Nations peoples.
Wear your favourite deadly shirt on the day! Tell your friends where you got that shirt on Instagram using #slqDeadlyThreads and tagging @StateLibraryQld
