Spark your students’ curiosity and love for libraries in this engaging and interactive Collection Curiosities workshop.
In a fun ‘show and tell’ format, students will uncover the fascinating stories behind some of State Library’s rarest, quirkiest, and most treasured artefacts, each with a special connection to Queensland.
Highlights include memorabilia from Queensland sporting heroes, the smallest book in the world, a pair of stockings worn by Queen Victoria, and an envelope crafted from the wreckage of a Japanese fighter jet.
Workshop notes:
- Each workshop will feature a unique selection of collection items appropriate for the year level of the students attending.
- This free 40 minute workshop is open to all schools and will be live-streamed via Microsoft Teams.
