Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders and community members are invited to our final gathering of 2019 at State Library of Queensland's kuril dhagun.
Join us for morning tea and a yarn about our programs, exhibitions and events, and to explore how you can participate.
December: Summer gathering
10am - 12pm
Join us for a morning tea to celebrate State Library's International Year of Indigenous Languages achievements.You will explore Jarjum Stories in kuril dhagun, a showcase of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children's books featuring language, followed by a tour of Spoken: celebrating Queensland languages, a thought-provoking exhibition in the slq Gallery about the survival and revival of Queensland Indigenous languages.
Free parking is available 15 minutes walk away at Jagera Hall, off Cordelia Street, South Brisbane, kindly provided by the Jagera Hall Community committee. A limited taxi shuttle service offered by State Library will leave Jagera Hall at 9.50am.
