Updated guidance for attending events
We’re looking forward to seeing you soon at State Library! In line with Queensland Government advice, from Tuesday 12 January 2021 you must wear a mask throughout your visit to State Library. Children under 12 years and people affected by a medical condition or disability are exempt. Please continue to observe 1.5m physical distance from others.

Big Voices: Children’s Picture Diaries portrait workshop
Families! Come and share your voices and stories with us. Be inspired by the artwork in the Big Voices: Children’s Art Matters exhibition and create your own self-portrait. Bring a printed selfie from home or use your imagination to paint a picture that tells a story all about you.
Unable to join us at State Library? Be inspired by The Corner at Home Activities and encourage creative open-ended family art adventures at home!
Each group ticket is for 2-8 people, including a minimum of 1 adult. To maintain social distancing you will be seated with the members of your group. Before booking your ticket you might like to plan to bring a friend (or 3!) to make the most of your experience. Please be sure to arrive 15mins before the scheduled start time to allow time to check-in.
Why not make a day of it and book into the Big Voices: Children’s Art Matters, family curator tour?

State Library has worked with Queensland Health to develop a specific COVID-Safe Site Plan that governs how we are managing safe practices onsite. Bookings are essential to attend children and families activities.
