Learn how to get the most out of Pinterest, a slightly different form of social media.
Pinterest allows you to curate virtual “pinboards” of images on any subject of your choice and share those boards with others. Likewise you can search other users' pinboards for images of interest. If you are searching for creative inspiration, or looking to share your own passions, pop along for some insights into the features and fun of Pinterest.
Be Connected gives older adults an opportunity to participate in fun, free learning sessions that will increasing their confidence, skills, and knowledge to get online using everyday technology such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and computers.
There is a broad range of topics on offer from learning the absolute basics, getting to know your devices and how to get started online, to connecting with family, online hobbies such as researching your family history and most importantly, how to stay safe online.
State Library of Queensland is part of the Be Connected network and will deliver Be Connected learning session’s onsite Wednesdays and Fridays from 10.00am till 12.30pm, morning tea will be included. Each month we will focus on different learning topics (listed below) and you can book into as many sessions as you like.
