This workshop is an introduction to the basics of structured light scanning and photogrammetry, using the HP Sprout Pro in State Library of Queensland’s Fabrication Lab.

We'll take you through the ins and outs of scanning small objects with a desktop 3D scanner. You will learn practical advise on how to prepare your object, scan, then clean up ready for 3D printing.

Once you've completed this workshop you'll be able to use the Library's 3D scanner during community lab times.

 

Requirements

- Participants must be over 16 years of age
- Enclosed, flat footwear must be worn at all times
- Please become a State Library member before you arrive. If you already have a SLQ member account make sure you know your login details, you may be required to login during the workshop to access SLQ computers and to make bookings for equipment.

Concession prices are for holders of; Student Card, Pension Card, Health Care Card. Please be aware that you will have to show your card when you turn up for the session, if card can not be produced you will have to pay the extra amount of the general admission costs.
