101 - Intro to Photoshop

Our Photoshop 101 workshop will guide you through the essentials of Adobe Photoshop, an industry-standard tool for photo editing and digital art creation. Learn how to navigate the interface and toolbar, perform basic image edits, work with masking, in-built FX and much more. 

To help you get the most out of this session, please arrive with an Adobe account set up in advance — it is free to create one online.  

The Edge’s Digital Media Lab is fully equipped with the Creative Cloud suite, available to use during Open Lab. All you need is your Adobe account to kickstart your creative journey.

ABOUT 101 WORKSHOPS

101 skill development workshops give you the basic skills you need to start your new creative journey.  

Each workshop is delivered by an experienced facilitator and to participate in the workshops, intermediate computer skills, a willingness to learn and a little patience will see you underway. 

REQUIREMENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS WORKSHOP

• Participants must be over 16 years of age.
• Enclosed, flat footwear must be worn at all times in the Innovation lab.

Please become a State Library member before you arrive. If you already have a State Library member account, make sure you know your login details as you may be required to login during the workshop to access State Library computers, and to make bookings for equipment.
