As well as State Library resources numerous other organisations have resources that are useful for parents, teachers and students.


The learning@home is a Department of Education website of curated resources for parents and students to maintain education from home during school closures. The site provides several online tools and resources that can be printed and are designed as a support tool for students to continue their learning and engage in familiar activities essential to their learning and wellbeing.

Queensland Museum

Queensland Museum has put together a collection of quality education resources to support student learning. The Queensland Museum resources cover a range of curriculum areas including Physics, Geography, Biology, Geography and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies, and provide instructional videos, related images and inquiry activities.

Art Online - Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC)

Reading Adventure Club

State Library Queensland are offering a free Adventure Reading Club to keep young people reading and engaged with literacy during school closures, and beyond. Complete online reading challenges, share stories, poems and artworks and connect with readers from across the country.

Cyber Safety

Now more than ever, we need to ensure young people and families are safe online. eSafety has listed their top tips and resources to help school leaders in protecting the safety of their wider school communities while learning from home.

Cyber Safety Project

The Cyber Safety Project have taken all the hard work out of Cyber Safety while learning from home by producing resources that can be access online by schools and families. The Cyber Safety Project home learning portal provides fun and engaging cyber safety lessons for young people aged 6-12years, and interactive activities, worksheets and reflection questions.

State Library Cyber Safety Resources

State Library of Queensland also has a range of cyber safety resources including blogs, Lynda.com courses and ebooks. These resources are designed specifically to help teachers and parents during COVID-19 school closures and available FREE for the month of March & April, 2020.

Shake and Stir

Teachers and students can enrich their studies in Drama with Shake and Stirs online resources, including Shake and Stir virtual, a collection of performances available to stream online and Shake and Stir Interact, weekly online drama lessons for students in Prep – Grade 6.

Street Science

Queensland Family and Child Commission
