Game Changers: In conversation with Queensland entrepreneur Trent Davis

Trent Davis had several businesses before he was 22 years old, ranging from IT support to commercial childcare centre management systems which he started in high school. Starting his fifth company Netbox Blue in 1999, he took an organic growth approach. Now, Trent has built Netbox Blue into a formidable company with over 30 staff across Australia, selling to the world.

As the founder and Chief Technology Officer, Trent leads the development team at Netbox Blue, concentrating on intellectual property in the areas of distributed cloud based computing and next generation social media information governance and compliance. The technology is widely used by business, government and schools and has also been adapted to suit the home environment. Trent was an Ernst & Young 'Young Entrepreneur of the Year' winner in 2006 and was named by FMH magazine as one of the Most Influential Australians under 30.
