About the event

Join us at State Library’s stunning Auditorium 1 and Queensland Terrace for an exciting evening of persuasive pitches, philanthropy, and the power of crowd giving.

Hosted by Queensland Library Foundation President Courtney Talbot, and Andrew Baker, Managing Partner at Perpetual Private, the annual Crowd Giving event is a fun and easy way to support the important work of State Library.

Take part as three State Library experts pitch their projects to you and enjoy friendly competition as the votes add up resulting in one lucky project receiving $30,000 funding.

Be part of a night that’s all about making a positive impact. Join us and let’s make a difference together!

Your sneak peek at the projects

  • Project 1 — Amplifying children’s perspectives through art
Elevating the importance of children's unique voices and experiences by documenting and collecting their artworks and perspectives on play. This project will enrich our UNESCO-listed children's art collection and create exhibitions, to be featured in a new dedicated space at State Library.

  • Project 2 — Using AI to find images at lightning speed
Applying cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence and machine learning technologies to transform the way people explore State Library's vast digital collections, enhancing accessibility and revealing hidden insights, particularly to meet the growing demand for searching and viewing video content.

  • Project 3 — Treasures brought to life
Enhancing the 'explorer experience' for visitors by developing innovative and interactive capabilities through our giant 43-metre outdoor billboard.
