Yoga, meditation, decaf: Radek Sali buys into the wellness boom

Radek Sali is standing slightly awkwardly in in a park surrounded by women doing yoga.
"I do actually practice yoga," he says. "I do yoga with my wife and she does personal training with me."
But this park yoga session in Melbourne's Alexandra Gardens is business. It's in aid of Sali's $500,000 investment in the yoga and meditation festival Wanderlust through his Light Warrior fund.
The former chief executive of Swisse sold the vitamins giant for $1.6 billion in 2015 and received $250 million from the sale which he used to set up Light Warrior, with ex Goldman Sachs banker Adam Gregory.
Many of Light Warrior's investments so far have been in the wellness space including fluid replacement product Hydralyte, meditation app One Giant Mind and health and nutrition start up myDNA.
Turning around Wanderlust
The Wanderlust festival of music, yoga and wellness is the latest addition to Sali's portfolio.
Wanderlust began in Squaw Valley, California, in 2009 and former music promoter Johnnie Halstead operated the festivals in Australia under a licence agreement until earlier this year when Mr Halstead's business went into liquidation owing creditors up to $1.4 million. Read more
