Registrations are now open for the next First 5 Forever webinar – Sensory Storytimes. You will hear from a variety of library services on the approaches they take to program and facilitate early literacy programs that are inclusive and responsive to children and families who experience sensory challenges.



Topics and facilitators include:



• The why and how of sensory storytimes
• Collaborative projects with university faculties and students to best support and resource families – Sunshine Coast Libraries
• Collaborating with external agencies and specialists to develop and facilitate approaches and resources to support children with sensory challenges to access library collections and programs – Brisbane City Council
• Thinking outside the library “square” to plan and deliver accessible and appropriate programs for children and families with sensory challenges – Moreton Bay Regional Council



The webinar will provide practical ideas, suggestions for setting up programs and insights for both small and large library services.

First 5 Forever webinars are designed specifically for library and Indigenous Knowledge Centre staff working directly with families and children under 5 years of ages. State Library uses the GoTo Webinar software. All webinars are recorded and can be accessed after the presentation date.
