Access keys on State Library web pages enable users to bring focus to page elements using the keyboard, rather than a computer mouse.

Bags policy

This policy aims to give visitors to the South Bank building access to our collections and facilities, and also ensure the safety of the collections, facilities and staff.

Public Access Computer Facilities Policy

The purpose of this policy is to promote rewarding and responsible use of public computer facilities provided by State Library at its South Bank building.

State Library's client policy for blogs, tagging, reviewing and other forms of online communication. It affirms that contributions to our online spaces, including our website, blogs and catalogue are welcomed from all, and ensures they are appropriate and respect the needs and sensitivities of others.

Alcohol Policy

A policy outlining the parameters for the responsible service, possession and/or consumption of alcohol on State Library premises, establishing appropriate staff and security responses when the policy is breached.

Responsible Conduct Policy

This policy contributes to State Library being a safe place, a welcoming place and a respectful place, where needs and interests can be pursued freely, and people show due regard to the needs, sensitivities and rights of others.

Extended Enquiries Policy

This policy relates to enquiries received by State Library staff which cannot be completed immediately, and often require significant time and expertise to complete. Defines the goals, what can and cannot be done, etc.

Policies by external agencies to which State Library has made a significant contribution, or which are relevant to SLQ in some way, including the National policy framework for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander library services and collections.
