White gloves experience (White Gloves Room, level 4) 11 am to 4 pm

Drop in and see the collections and treasures significant to the fellows' research.

Morning session (Auditorium 1, level 2): 11 am to 1 pm

Business history

  • Speaker: Dr Robin Trotter, 2021 Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame fellow. Dr Trotter will present her project Sir Arthur Petfield: from tinplate to porcelain.

Crime and corruption

  • Speaker: A/Professor Mark Lauchs, 2021 John Oxley Library honorary fellow. A/Professor Lauchs will present his project Social Networks of Crime and Corruption: the first and second jokes.

The arrival of electricity

  • Speaker: Dr Henry Reese, 2021 John Oxley Library fellow. Dr Reese will present his project Electrifying Queensland: modern machines in the sunshine state.

Afternoon session (Auditorium 1, level 2): 2 pm to 3:30 pm

First Nations photographers

  • Speaker: Ms Jo-Anne Driessens, 2021 Mittelheuser Scholar in Residence. Ms Driessens will present on her project Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lens perspectives.

First Nations family history

  • Speaker: Ms Rachel West-Captain, 2021 Monica Clare Research fellow. Ms West-Captain will present her project A Murruwarri Family of South-West Queensland and North-West New South Wales: the West and Captain family.

Meet the fellows (Queensland Terrace, level 2): 3:30pm to 4:30pm

Publications from past fellows will be available for purchase at the Library Shop.
