One of the key skills required when making use of the Library’s digital fabrication tools like the Laser cutter, is turning your ideas into a digital design that the machine can cut.
In this workshop we’re going to be using the process of developing interior design project, our own bespoke lampshade, as an opportunity for you to brush up on your vector drawing skills in Corel Draw. Working with the laser cutter, design software and helpful support from our team you will learn how to use the hardware and walk away with a beautiful new light for your home.
The workshop also includes a laser cutter induction, meaning that once you've completed this workshop as well as our General Induction you will be able to book and use the State Library of Queensland's laser cutters in the Fabrication Lab.
This is a 2-part workshop running on 5 March and 19 March (you must be able to come to all the dates)
