Keen to make your own jewellery, create a keychain or make a box or housing unit for all your knick-knacks? Join us for our popular Laser Cutter Induction and learn about the endless options that you can do with the machine.
The State Library's laser can cut and etch wood, plastics, paper, cloth and leather quickly and accurately. In this induction you will learn what software you can use, how to prepare design files and how to operate the machine safely. Use your creativity to personalise the design template provided, and take home your first project.
- Participants must be over 16 years of age
- Enclosed, flat footwear must be worn at all times
- Please become a State Library member before you arrive. If you already have a SLQ member account make sure you know your login details, you may be required to login during the workshop to access SLQ computers and to make bookings for equipment.

Concession prices are for holders of; Student Card, Pension Card, Health Care Card. Please be aware that you will have to show your card when you turn up for the session, if card can not be produced you will have to pay the extra amount of the general admission costs.
