As per Queensland Government advice, you must wear a mask during your visit to State Library (children under 12 and people affected by a medical condition or disability are exempt). We are looking forward to safely welcoming you back onsite. For more information, check www.slq.qld.gov.au/alerts.

Our CNC router is an industrial scale machine that can cut and shape a sheet of plywood into flat-pack furniture, storage units or a cubby house from designs created using 2D drawing software.

In this induction you will learn some practical tips for good designs, how to choose and use the right tools and operate the machine safely using specialised software. Use the template provided to make your own handy stool to take home.

Once you've completed the induction you can book and use the State Library of Queensland's CNC router in the Fabrication Lab.
