Join us in celebrating the opening weekend of Entwined: plants and people, an evocative exhibition that explores our intrinsic relationship with plants through photography, illustrations, immersive projections, and historical objects.

Get involved in a wide range of hands-on activities and events such as workshops, markets, talks, tours, films and more.

 Peppermint Magazine markets   | Free

A mini-market inspired by Entwined: plants and people by the wonderful team at Peppermint magazine. Expect plants, art, and nature goodies that you can purchase and take home with you.

Grab a cuppa from the library cafe and listen to the vocal harmonies of 2 ZA Crowd as they perform a unique song selection alongside the Peppermint markets.

MURRI TUKKA – First Nations Bush Foods | kuril dhagun, level 1 | Free | Ticketed

Bring the whole family to learn about the flavours of the bush in this 60min cultural education presentation with Bruce Phillips (Morgan) of MURRI TUKKA.

Bruce is a Batjala and Kabi Kabi man and will be sharing locally sourced and fresh Indigenous produce from Yuggera-Ugarapul Country.

Plant Embroidery with Emptydotroom  | $40 | Ticketed

Bring a beloved but unworn piece of clothing back to life with embroidery! Join Showte from Emptydotroom in a step-by-step workshop to add one of four lush plant or flower designs to your piece

  • Suitable for beginners/non-sewists. Ages 13+ (attendees under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult helper).

  • All embroidery material and designs provided (choose from one of four designs).

  • Please bring your own piece of clothing or fabric to embroider.

Mini terrariums with Eden Gardens | $40 | Ticketed

Put those leftover jars to good use by creating a mini terrarium. Professional plant-lovers from Eden Gardens will assist you in creating a gorgeous mini-terrarium.

  • Suitable for ages 7+ (attendees under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult helper).

  • All material provided including plants.

  • Please bring a jar measuring approximately 9cm wide by 16cm tall to create your own terrarium.

Sonic Reflections | slq Gallery, level 2 | Free | No bookings required

Drop in to experience a live sound set to the moving visuals of Man&Wah with Clara Durbidge, a Minjerribah-based artist, musician, and sound healing practitioner.

•           The event will be held in slq Gallery in the three screen projection experience space, allowing you to sit, relax and settle into the plant inspired performance.
