Becoming a critical reader: Information literacy at State Library
Feel like you’re drowning in ‘mis’ and ‘dis’ information? You’re not alone. At State Library we’re here to help. We collect resources which help build information literacy skills – the tools required to better negotiate the increasingly complex information world.
This webinar will introduce you to some key concepts of information literacy and offer further reading suggestions for sharpening your critical mind. It will demonstrate how to access and explore State Library collections so that you can read widely from diverse and reliable resources, and form opinions with confidence. In the current sea of misinformation, State Library’s collections and staff can offer you a lifeboat.
