Be Connected is a free Australian Government initiative helping older adults to get the most out of going online.
Getting started online
Join us and take your first steps in the online world. Set up your first email account and learn the finer points of managing your inbox. We will also examine some basics of using the web, including web browsers, search engines, and filling in online forms. Morning tea is included and there will be plenty of time for questions and practice.

Be Connected gives older adults an opportunity to participate in fun, free learning sessions that will increasing their confidence, skills, and knowledge to get online using everyday technology such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and computers.
There is a broad range of topics on offer from learning the absolute basics, getting to know your devices and how to get started online, to connecting with family, online hobbies such as researching your family history and most importantly, how to stay safe online.
State Library of Queensland is part of the Be Connected network and will deliver Be Connected learning session’s onsite Wednesdays and Fridays from 10.00am till 12.30pm, morning tea will be included. Each month we will focus on different learning topics (listed below) and you can book into as many sessions as you like.
