Be Connected is a free Australian Government initiative helping older adults to get the most out of going online.
Join us in June and get to grips with the absolute basics of getting online. We define and compare the differences between different technologies like laptops, tablets and mobile phones, then take our first steps, getting comfortable using the keyboard, touch screen and mouse, and changing basic settings on a computer.

Be Connected gives older adults an opportunity to participate in fun, free learning sessions that will increasing their confidence, skills, and knowledge to get online using everyday technology such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and computers.
There is a broad range of topics on offer from learning the absolute basics, getting to know your devices and how to get started online, to connecting with family, online hobbies such as researching your family history and most importantly, how to stay safe online.
State Library of Queensland is part of the Be Connected network and will deliver Be Connected learning session’s onsite Wednesdays and Fridays from 10.00am till 12.30pm, morning tea will be included. Each month we will focus on different learning topics (listed below) and you can book into as many sessions as you like.
