Digital Health: resources for healthy living
Join us for some insight into where to go online to find quality health information. There’s a lot of “DIY Doctor” information out there on the web, but how much of it is reliable? This session gives you the key to unlock some great professional medical reference materials, including health journals, videos and articles from a variety of well-regarded publications, all free via your library membership!
Be Connected gives older adults an opportunity to participate in fun, free learning sessions that will increasing their confidence, skills, and knowledge to get online using everyday technology such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and computers.
There is a broad range of topics on offer from learning the absolute basics, getting to know your devices and how to get started online, to connecting with family, online hobbies such as researching your family history and most importantly, how to stay safe online.
State Library of Queensland is part of the Be Connected network and will deliver Be Connected learning session’s onsite Wednesdays and Fridays from 10.00am till 12.00pm, morning tea will be included. Each month we will focus on different learning topics (listed below) and you can book into as many sessions as you like.
