I'm under 16. Can I become a member?
Yes. Anyone can become a member of State Library of Queensland. However, if you do want to borrow items from our collections, you will require parent/guardian approval.
How do I upgrade my membership to use The Business Studio or to borrow from the library?
It's easy. Simply visit us in person at State Library of Queensland to ask. If you want to borrow you will need to show proof of address in Queensland.
Membership groups
Queenslanders
If you are a Queensland resident you can access all the benefits of membership, including eresources immediately. You can also upgrade your membership to include borrowing from the Information Collections.
Business studio members
Along with the benefits of State Library membership, Business Studio members can also book a workstation in the Business Studio at South Bank.
Interstate or overseas members
If you don’t live in Queensland you can still become a State Library member but some services, including eresources are not available.
