Answer - around 2,200 papers from 97 countries in 54 languages
Yes, even though we get so much of our daily news in other ways now, people still want to read their favourite local and international newspapers. Visitors from interstate and overseas are especially keen to get news from home, and State Library provides this through a great online product called Library PressDisplay. Some of the features of this fabulous database include:
- Exact full colour replicas of the print newspapers
- 60 days of back issues available
- Listen online
- Table of contents for each paper
Just a few of the titles available are The Age, The Australian, USA Today, The Jakata Post, China Daily and Der Tagesspiegel.
