Thuringowa digital story workshop

By JOL Admin | 25 August 2010

State Library of Queensland staff held a three day digital story workshop at the Thuringowa Central Library from the 16-18 August. Ten participants came from all over Queensland, including Mount Isa, Tully, Ayr, Mackay, Townsville and Charters Towers.

Thuringowa digital story workshop participants and trainers.

Each person went through the steps of making their very own story – from writing a script, to recording audio, to piecing the video together.

The workshop was facilitated by the John Oxley Library’s Gavin Bannerman and documentary-maker, producer and facilitator Jan Cattoni.  A big thank you to Annette Burns and all the staff at City Libraries Townsville for their hospitality and special thanks to Jan for helping Gavin through his “morning sickness.”

Participants engaged in creating digital stories.
