REDBACK TECHNOLOGIES TO SHAKE UP ENERGY INDUSTRY WITH NEW SOLAR-BATTERY STORAGE PRODUCT LAUNCH

By Administrator | 11 September 2017

Startup tech company Redback Technologies has teamed up with EnergyAustralia to launch a new all-in-one solar and battery solution to tackle the biggest energy problems facing Australians.

The Redback Smart Hybrid System launch takes place a year after EnergyAustralia invested in the Brisbane-based company with the aim of providing more reliable, affordable and cleaner energy solutions to consumers.

With electricity prices at an all-time high in Australia, the innovative storage and energy management system heralds the next generation of solar technology for Australian consumers.

Pricing for the system starts at around $9,000 (including solar and battery storage). Based on annual household consumption of 8,000 kWh, the system could save a household about $1,500 annually, meaning pay-back after around seven years.

"We are bringing the new generation of Redback technology to market, giving Australians access to a seamlessly integrated hardware and software package that enables customers to save money by consuming more of the solar energy they produce on site," says Redback Technologies Founder and Managing Director Philip Livingston. Read more
